Day by Day Itinerary
Day 01 — Ulaanbaatar to Terelj National Park
Your journey begins with a pick-up from your Hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Drive to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, where you will enjoy a 1–2 hour horse ride through granite formations and visit the famous Turtle Rock.

Day 02 — Terelj to Ulaanbaatar via Chinggis Khan Statue
After breakfast, take a short hike to the Aryabal Meditation Temple. Following lunch, explore the Chinggis Khan Statue Complex before returning to the capital for the evening.

Day 03 — Ulaanbaatar to Baga Gazryn Chuluu
Head south into the Gobi region to witness the dramatic granite formations of Baga Gazryn Chuluu. Spend the afternoon exploring ancient ruins and natural caves through easy hikes.

Day 04 — Baga Gazryn Chuluu to Yolyn Am
Continue your scenic drive deep into the Gobi to reach Yolyn Am (Vulture Valley). Enjoy a gentle hike into this narrow gorge, known for its sheer cliffs and surprisingly cool microclimate.

Day 05 — Yolyn Am to Khongoryn Els
Travel to the massive Khongoryn Els sand dunes. Experience a traditional camel ride across the dunes and hike to a viewpoint for sunset photography.

Day 06 — Khongoryn Els to Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs)
Drive to Bayanzag, the world-famous fossil site known as the Flaming Cliffs. Walk among the red sandstone formations and visit the local museum to learn about the area's paleontological history.

Day 07 — Bayanzag to Ongi Monastery
Head north toward the Ongi River valley. Explore the historic ruins of Ongi Monastery and enjoy a short walk along the riverbanks and surrounding hills.

Day 08 — Ongi to Kharkhorin
Take a scenic drive through the vast Central Mongolian steppe to reach Kharkhorin, the legendary ancient capital of the Mongol Empire.

Day 09 — Kharkhorin to Orkhon Valley
Visit the Erdene Zuu Monastery, the oldest Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. Later, continue your journey into the Orkhon Valley, a UNESCO-protected cultural landscape.

Day 10 — Orkhon Valley Nomadic Experience
Spend the day immersed in nomadic life. Visit a herder family to try animal milking and archery before taking a short walk to see the Ulaan Tsutgalan Waterfall.

Day 11 — Orkhon Valley Horse Riding
Enjoy a full day of horse riding at a relaxed pace. Traverse river valleys and open steppe, combining riding with short walks and time for relaxation in nature.

Day 12 — Orkhon Valley to Elsen Tasarkhai
Drive to Elsen Tasarkhai, also known as the Mini Gobi. Explore this unique intersection of sand dunes and steppe landscapes.

Day 13 — Khustai National Park & Return to Ulaanbaatar
Drive to Khustai National Park for wildlife viewing, specifically to see the Przewalski’s wild horses. After a short hike, continue back to Ulaanbaatar where the tour concludes.

I have not ridden horses before? Can I ride in Mongolia?
Yes. We select horses suitable for your riding experience. You don't need any prior riding experience. If you have never ridden before our horse wrangler will guide your horse as well. Many of our guests have never ridden horses before. They loved the experience of riding in the open steppes.
Are there any additional costs?
No, There are no extra costs. We cover everything in the itinerary including meals, transportation, entertainment fees.
