Day 01 — Drive to Baga Gazariin Chuluu
Pickup from your Ulaanbaatar hotel
Begin the Gobi Desert tour with a full-day drive to Baga Gazariin Chuluu.
Visit the 1768 m granite rock formations and unique lunar-like landscapes.
Explore old stone temple ruins linked to the 17th century.
See mineral-rich rock formations, crystal areas, and natural springs.
Overnight in a guest house ger run by a nomadic family.
Day 02 — Visit Yoliin Am Gorge
Drive to Yoliin Am, located in the Gobi Desert National Park.
Explore this strictly protected area with dramatic rocky mountains.
Walk 3 km through the narrow gorge and return the same way.
Ice often remains in the valley until mid-July.
Overnight in a nomadic family guest ger.
Day 03 — Khongoryn Els Sand Dunes
Drive to the Khongoryn Els Sand Dunes (195 km).
See Mongolia’s largest and most impressive dunes.
Visit a cold-water spring and small ponds at the base of the dunes.
Enjoy a one-hour camel ride across the sand.
Overnight in a guest house ger run by a nomadic family.
Day 04 — Flaming Cliffs & Tsagaan Suvarga
Drive to Bayan-Zag, known as the “Flaming Cliffs,”famous for dinosaur fossils and Saxaul forests.
After lunch, continue to Tsagaan Suvarga in Ulziit village.
See the stunning limestone cliff face—30 m high and 100 m wide—sculpted by the wind over thousands of years.
Overnight in a guest house ger run by a nomadic family.
Day 05 — Drive Back to Ulaanbaatar
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar.
End of the tour.
